Who we are
SEOBerra has one job: helping businesses in and around Canberra be found by people who are ready to buy. That covers traditional search, map results and the newer answers produced by AI tools. Our clients sit in the ACT and on the NSW side of the border around Queanbeyan.
We keep the public detail simple. The team has more than 18 years of SEO experience in competitive markets, and that experience shapes how we judge advice, including our own. This site carries no client list, awards or invented credentials, because we would rather you judged us on the audit and the plan.
What 18 years of experience changes in practice
Experience is only useful if it changes how work is done. In practice it shows up in a few habits that you can check against our advice.
- We have watched shortcuts fail: Bought links, mass-produced pages and keyword stuffing have all cost businesses rankings, and Google's spam policies now name each of them, so we steer clear.
- We expect search to change: Search engines revise their systems often, so we build on clear pages, honest content and a sound site rather than on tricks that expire.
- We are cautious with promises: Long experience mostly teaches how much is outside anyone's control, which is why we do not give guarantees.
- We know what to leave alone: Not every possible task is worth doing, and part of the value is telling you which fixes can wait.
- We read results slowly: One week of movement proves little, so we look for patterns across several weeks before changing a plan.
How we work remotely, step by step
Everything is delivered online. That means you can start without travelling anywhere or arranging a meeting room.
- You get in touchUse the form, WhatsApp or email and tell us about your business, your website and what you want from search.
- We reply within a business dayReplies come Monday to Friday, AEST or AEDT. If your enquiry arrives on a weekend, expect an answer early the following week.
- We review and reportWe look at your site and send back written findings you can read at your own pace and share with colleagues.
- We agree the next stepIf you want help, we describe the work and quote it. If you would rather act on the findings yourself, that is a fair outcome too.
What remote delivery means for you
Most SEO work happens inside a website, a Google Business Profile and a set of documents, none of which need a shared room. We send findings in writing so that your developer, your office manager and your business partner can all read the same thing. You can answer when it suits you, and nothing depends on a diary clash.
The trade-off is that we do not meet customers or visit premises. If your project needs photography, a site visit or a face-to-face workshop, we will say so and suggest who could help. For a call, we can arrange a time after our first reply.
Because we are not tied to one suburb, we can cover the Belconnen, Gungahlin and Tuggeranong town centres, the Woden Valley, the inner suburbs and Queanbeyan with the same attention. Each district has different competitors and customers, and that is where the real work sits.
What we will and will not do
A short list of commitments tells you more about an agency than a long list of adjectives.
We will
- Explain each recommendation in plain English
- Tell you when SEO is not the right first spend
- Report on work done as well as on results
- Say clearly when we are unsure or when something is outside our control
- Ask you to confirm any claim about your business before it goes live
We will not
- Promise a ranking, a position or a date
- Buy links or run private networks of sites
- Invent reviews, case studies or awards
- Lock you into work you do not understand
- Publish thin pages that only swap one suburb name for another
How we handle AI search
People now ask questions in AI tools as well as in search boxes. We treat this as an extension of good SEO, because the basics are shared: accurate pages, clear structure, consistent business details and a site that can be crawled. Our AI search work builds on those foundations.
We do not claim to know a secret formula for being quoted by an AI tool. Nobody outside the platforms does, and each tool changes over time. What we can do is make your information easy to find, easy to understand and easy to verify, then watch what happens and report it honestly.
What this site does not publish yet
Individual team names, biographies and qualifications are not published on this site. We would rather say that plainly than fill the gap with a stock profile.
When you ask, we will tell you what the work involves and who is responsible for it. We do not promise named staff, and we will not claim anything we cannot stand behind.
Questions worth asking us before you start
Good clients ask hard questions, and we would rather hear them early. These are the ones that tend to matter most.
- Who will do the work? Ask what the work involves and who is responsible for each part.
- What will you change on my site? Ask to see each change described in plain words and approved by you before it goes live.
- How will I know it is working? Ask which measures we will report and when, including the ones that did not move.
- What happens if I stop? Ask what you keep, such as page copy, documents and access, if the arrangement ends.
Where to go from here
If you want to see how we think before talking to anyone, read about our process and how quotes work. Both explain what happens and what influences the cost.
When you are ready, ask for the free SEO audit through the contact page. It is a modest offer: we review your website and write up the priorities in plain English. You can take the list and use it with any provider you like, including your own web developer.
